Construct, erect, install, and repair structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, and wallboard, using carpenter’s hand tools and power tools. Most work is under the direction of a foreman and is for the completion of formwork for concrete slabs.
The Pump Operator tends, controls, and operates concrete pumps and systems to transfer concrete from a cement truck to the slab in a smooth and efficient manner. Must have a proper CDL.
Smooth and finish surfaces of poured concrete, such as floors, sidewalks, or tilt wall panels using a variety of hand and power tools.
Oversee construction projects from beginning to end and coordinate workers. Responsibilities are guiding staff, supervising concrete installation, assigning tasks, preventing occupational hazards, and keeping records.
Perform tasks involving physical labor for concrete construction projects. May operate a variety of hand and power tools. May clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, clean up rubble and debris, and remove waste materials. May assist other craft workers.
Work on heavy-duty machinery, including concrete pumps, trowel machines, etc. Working not only on a machine or truck in the shop but on job sites as well. Willing to work as needed and overtime.
